Volunteer
Opportunities
We need your help in bringing wonderfully Fringe theatre and creative performances to life here in Green Bay! Below you’ll find brief descriptions of the types of volunteer opportunities there are currently available with the Green Bay Fringe Festival. If you have an interest in helping out please join the Volunteer email list.
Volunteer Coordinator
This role involves planning and organizing volunteers, training and activities. The Volunteer coordinator reports to the Board of Directors and chairs the Volunteer Committee.
Gala Volunteer
We will have a fundraising Gala May 20th and we will need help with decorating, set up, clean up and other miscellaneous items. Pre-Festival Volunteer - Leading up to the Festival, we will have lots of opportunities to engage with us in different ways. We will need help in the office organizing passes and merch, manning a booth at farmer's markets, putting up signs, assisting at Preview performances, and more.
Usher
The festival spans 7 locations over 4 days and we will need at least one usher at each event. As an Usher, your focus is engaging with patrons so they enjoy all aspects of their festival-going experience. You will greet patrons, distribute programs, and take tickets as patrons enter the theater. You may need to assist patrons with mobility needs to their seats and provide other patron services. You may also be stationed around the venue to help greet and direct patrons, and help manage lines and crowds. Ushers are also responsible for keeping the lobbies and seating areas tidy. Ushers may be stationed inside the theater during a performance and must be ready to assist patrons exiting or entering as needed.
Tech/Crew
Most Fringe acts are self-sustaining, but there will be occasions where they will need someone to start a sound cue or turn lights off or on. Tech/Crew volunteers will also help move shows on and off stage and keep performances on schedule.
Floater
Floaters should have a good grasp of the festival in general so they can fill in wherever needed.
Host
Help defray the touring costs of an out-of-town artist by providing lodging and a home base. As a host, you will open your home to performers from across the country. Whether you have a cottage, spare room or a futon, it may be just what a visiting act needs.
